The
dramatic events and the consequences stemming from the September 11th terrorist
attacks have made us all think twice about what is important in life. We grieve
with the victims and their families and friends. It has not been easy for any
of us – but we cannot be paralyzed, for then the terrorists have won.
During
the month of October, Dragon produced the “What’s Going On” mini
figures. These were limited to 500 pieces and were released in conjunction with
an updated version of the Marvin Gayes’ 1974 hit “What’s Going
On” by Sony Music. This song was produced by Jermaine Dupri who has also
worked with Destiny’s Child, Janet Jackson and Jagged Edge. The CD’s
original release date was planned for World AIDS day on December 1st 2001, but
since the terrorist attacks on September 11th the EP will now be released on
October 30th.
Dragon
is proud to sponsor the "What's Going On” project with our special
mini figures. All benefits from the CD will be donated to THE UNITED WAY’S
SEPTEMBER 11TH FUND and ARTISTS AGAINST AIDS WORLDWIDE.
