Spring has sprung, and for Dragon collectors that means Anniversary Figure time! Each year, DML puts together a special figure set to commemorate the release of its first New Generation Life Action Figure -- WWII "Hans Leiter" -- in March of 1999.

The 1st Anniversary Figure was "Winter Hans" in 2000, an updated version of the original Hans from a later period in the war featuring a new war-weary headsculpt, winter greatcoat and accessories.

The 2nd Anniversary Figure in 2001 was "SS-Schütze Rudolf Wilhelmaina", a machine gunner from Kampfgruppe Hansen during the Ardennes Offensive of 1944. Rudolf's special packaging and loads of gear -- including three layers of clothing, an extra 'smoking' head, ammunition belt with real metal bullets, and pistol with working slide -- made him an instant fan favorite.

With each of these figures, Dragon tried to bring something new and special -- to thank 1/6 collectors for their continued to support as well as live up to its own motto to remain "Steps Ahead ... Always".
