This
is my standard service weapon, the Howa Type 89 Rifle. It is a select-fire,
gas-operated, 5.56mm rotating bolt firearm. It is based on the SIG SG550 and
Daewoo K2A2 NATO, and quite similar to the USA-designed AR-18 rifle. Notice
the folding bipod, stamped steel receiver, and flip-up aperture rear sights
-- a versatile and formidable weapon!
