Konnichiwa! My name is Ogawa of the JGSDF -- Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The JGSDF is the modern equivalent of Japan's armed forces ... and much more! National security for Japan is our primary purpose, of course, but we also provide disaster relief and perform regional security dutues when when necessary -- much like the U.S. Army's National Guard. The JGSDF has also recently participated in international peacekeeping efforts abroad in such areas as the Golan Heights, Cambodia, Zaire, and Mozambique. Just like the old-time Samurai, the JGSDF trains to be ready for any situation!
