"...this kit is absolutely remarkable. The attention to the small details, the features and the options that are included in the box, have set this kit in a class by itself...."

"...Overall, this is a stunning model of the one main version of the tank that no one had kitted up to this point. And even though it's a Tiger, I'm impressed..."

"...Put simply, this is Dragon's best kit yet, and very much in the running for best armour kit currently available, for many reasons.
Putting aside for a moment the beautifully detailed injection mouldings with torsion bar suspension etc., the first thing that strikes you about the model is the amount of stuff in the box. Apart from tools, paint and cement, Dragon provide pretty much everything you need to complete the project from the ground up, from individual link tracks (sprueless, and already topped and tailed), brass ammunition, aluminium main gun barrel, a whole host of photo-etched parts including tools clamps, clear periscopes and vision blocks, two figures and more.
The lengths the company has gone to with this release are impressive and very commendable, and will end up saving the modeler a substantial amount of money.
We will be of course be building this beauty for a full review in a issue soon..."

"
This is the first kit I've come across which reminded me of that feeling
of looking with astonishment at the contents of a then state-of-the-art
Gunze Sangyo 'High Tech' Panther G. That was a long time ago, when super
detailed armour kits were a novelty. In this day and age we are pretty spoiled,
so a new kit has to be pretty special to invoke any where near such a feeling
of amazement and this DML Tiger is it. In fact, the experience of looking
through the box was immeasurably more satisfying - and pre '44 German armour
isn't normally my interest. Be prepared to devote some time to examine the
kit as boxed- the fine detailing, plethora of parts and superb packaging
make this a milestone product, no question. "

"...I will say that this is the most researched and complete model kit that I've seen produced in one box. The choices provided for the modeller for metal or plastic parts is excellent, along with the optional parts for the different tanks. The pre-bent etched metal items, tool clamps (with provided forms for bending), clear periscope parts and gun barrel make after-market purchases unnecessary. The little bucket is a very nice touch, too. The instructions explain most of the optional parts locations (which part to use for which tank you are building), and that is important..."
"...The addition of the war correspondent photographer figures was a real bonus in the Initial Tiger kit, since the idea of having a DML figure set featuring these poses came to mind when Ron first suggested the artwork. These figures would be ideal posed with any 1/35 scale German WWII tank, and I'm sure a lot of modellers will be using them in all kinds of dioramas..."

"...
its just arrived here and for all us old sceptics who wondered why this
was being released when the Tamiya kits were fine - well be prepared to
eat your words - this kit is something else!
It has a partial engine bay with radiators, pre bent smoke discharger cables,
'Continental' logo on the tires, headlamp brackets with the electrical sockets,
choice of mantlets and cupolas, complete bow MG installation with head pads
hatch interiors with no pin marks, choice of tow shackles (metal) they have
even included the grub screws on the gun sleeve and the break in the underside
of the sponson armour!
No question - Dragon have just raised the bar - I can't find anything to fault on first inspection ... just dragging my jaw off the floor - have to go and fan myself with the instruction sheet....."
- David Parker
"With this single kit Dragon has raised the stakes for all manufacturers. They have produced a kit that should appease all skill levels of modellers while at the same time providing a detailed and value-for-money kit. A beginner could ignore all the after-market style parts and still build an accurate Tiger I using just plastic pieces, while the more experienced builder can enjoy turned metal, photo-etch.etc. Even for those that might not be interested in the German Tiger I, seeing the contents of this box will be inspiration enough to build one. They only question that remains is - what will Dragon think of next?"
- Jon Feenstra
"...I believe Dragon may have produced the best armor kit ever made. My congratualations to the designers and to Dragon for the willingness to produce such a kit. I really look forward to the mid-production versions!"
- Ron Volstad
"...overall a simply stunning kit that will have those asking "why another Tiger" clamouring to get one or two and we can assume the later production kit will be to the same high standard and attention to detail..."
- Terry Ashley
"This is the most elaborate and finely tooled 1/35 scale plastic model kit I have ever seen. The detail is amazing and number of extras provided in the kit are astounding."
